Clinical Trials Using Adenosine-A2A Receptor Antagonist CPI-444
Clinical trials are research studies that involve people. The clinical trials on this list are studying Adenosine-A2A Receptor Antagonist CPI-444. All trials on the list are supported by NCI.
NCI’s basic information about clinical trials explains the types and phases of trials and how they are carried out. Clinical trials look at new ways to prevent, detect, or treat disease. You may want to think about taking part in a clinical trial. Talk to your doctor for help in deciding if one is right for you.
CPI-006 Alone and in Combination With Ciforadenant and With Pembrolizumab for Patients With Advanced Cancers
This is a Phase 1 / 1b open-label, dose escalation and dose expansion study of CPI-006, a humanized monoclonal antibody (mAb) targeting the CD73 cell-surface ectonucleotidase in adult subjects with select advanced cancers. CPI-006 will be evaluated as a single agent, in combination with ciforadenant (an oral adenosine 2A receptor antagonist), in combination with pembrolizumab (an anti-PD1 antibody), and in combination with ciforadenant and pembrolizumab.

Phase 1 / 1b Study to Evaluate the Safety and Tolerability of Ciforadenant Alone and in Combination With Atezolizumab in Advanced Cancers
This is a phase 1 / 1b open-label, multicenter, dose-selection study of ciforadenant, an oral small molecule targeting the adenosine-A2A receptor on T-lymphocytes and other cells of the immune system. This trial will study the safety, tolerability, and anti-tumor activity of ciforadenant as a single agent and in combination with atezolizumab, a PD-L1 inhibitor against various solid tumors. Ciforadenant blocks adenosine from binding to the A2A receptor. Adenosine suppresses the anti-tumor activity of T cells and other immune cells.

A Study Of Multiple Immunotherapy-Based Treatment Combinations In Participants With Metastatic Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (Morpheus- Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer)
This study will evaluate the efficacy, safety, and pharmacokinetics of immunotherapy-based treatment combinations in patients with metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Two cohorts will be enrolled in parallel in this study: the first-line (1L) cohort will consist of patients who have not received any systemic therapy for their disease and the second-line (2L) cohort will consist of patients who progressed during or after receiving a platinum-containing regimen and a PD-L1 / PD-1 checkpoint inhibitor treatment. In each cohort, eligible patients will be assigned to one of several treatment arms.

Study of Ciforadenant in Combination With Daratumumab in Patients With Relapsed or Refractory Multiple Myeloma
This is a Phase 1b open-label study of ciforadenant, an oral, small molecule inhibitor targeting adenosine-2A receptors (A2AR), on safety / tolerability and efficacy in combination with daratumumab, a monoclonal antibody targeting CD38, in relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma.
