Celebrating National Minority Health Month 2019

, by CRCHD Staff

The National Cancer Institute (NCI) and its Center to Reduce Cancer Health Disparities (CRCHD) are among the many organizations nationwide that recognize National Minority Health Month (NMHM) every April.

"Active & Healthy" is the theme for NMHM 2019. The goal is to encourage the public to incorporate physical activity into their regular routine. Making physical activity part of one’s way of life reduces the risk of type 2 diabetes, cancer and other chronic diseases, particularly for racial and ethnic populations.
