Grant Application Development, Submission, Review, & Award

Applying for a research grant involves many steps and it’s not over when the application is submitted to NIH. The application must be referred to the appropriate institute or center, assigned to a scientific review group to be scored and then a determination of funding is made. Applications that will be funded are sent to the NCI Office of Grants Administration for final administrative review and negotiation with the applicant institution.
