Clinical Trials and Translational Research Advisory Committee (CTAC) Subcommittees

Ad Hoc Translational Research Strategy Subcommittee

Mission Statement

The purpose of the ad hoc Translational Research Strategy Subcommittee (TRSS) is to provide broad advice to the National Cancer Institute (NCI) Clinical Trials and Translational Research Advisory Committee (CTAC), National Cancer Advisory Board (NCAB), NCI Board of Scientific Advisors (BSA) and NCI leadership on enhancing and broadening the overall translational research portfolio.

Specifically, the TRSS will survey scientific horizons broadly to:

  1. Help identify the most provocative and impactful translational research questions;
  2. Examine and identify the most important opportunities for application of new technologies to translational research;
  3. Identify translational research knowledge gaps.

This subcommittee will be compromised of current and previous CTAC, NCAB, and BSA members.
