Developing Pediatric Data Standards
February 26, 2024 | 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Virtual
Hear three experts from the University of Chicago’s Department of Pediatrics talk about their Data for the Common Good (D4CG) program. They’ll not only discuss their work in developing pediatric cancer data standards but also how D4CG is contributing to the future Childhood Cancer Clinical Data Commons (C3DC), which will be part of the CCDI Data Ecosystem.
The C3DC will allow researchers, like you, to access harmonized and standardized participant-level demographics and clinical data collected from multiple NCI-supported studies.
Pediatric cancer data standards aim to establish consistent and interoperable formats for collecting, storing, and sharing data related to pediatric cancer research. These standards strive to improve data quality; facilitate data integration and analysis across different studies; enhance collaboration among researchers and clinicians; and ultimately advance our understanding and treatment of pediatric cancers. The standards developed through this platform will serve as a reference guide for the community for the standard set of core pediatric elements.
This webinar is part of the Childhood Cancer Data Initiative (CCDI) webinar series, which highlights how to use CCDI’s web applications, platforms, and data, and gives attendees the opportunity to learn how to use available resources.
