Are you researching the microbiome’s link to cancer and looking for a bioinformatics platform to help manage and analyze data?

Attend this hands-on workshop to learn how to implement and use QIIME2. You’ll learn tips on:

  • working with command line software.
  • conducting microbiome data analysis using QIIME 2.
  • using containers (e.g., Docker) for reproducible informatics.
  • accessing QIIME 2 through the Galaxy graphical interface.
  • finding resources that can help you work more efficiently, especially when the data are too big for your laptop.

If you’re planning to attend, be sure you check off this to-do list before the workshop begins.

  • Register to attend by filling out the Google Doc registration form.
  • Install the requisite software (i.e., Google Chrome and Docker Desktop) before the workshop begins. See instructions. (Important: If you lack administrative privileges, you’ll need to work with your IT staff to install the necessary software.)
  • Review instructions for working with command-line software.
  • Bring your laptop.

This event is co-hosted by members of the QIIME 2 team from the Caporaso Lab and NCI’s Informatics Technology for Cancer Research (ITCR) Training Network.
