Opportunity for Data Scientists to Apply for AI Codeathon

Applications are open for this National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI)-hosted codeathon. If you’re a data scientist interested in the opportunity to build transparent machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) solutions that will advance biological research, including within cancer, apply today. Registration ends on January 5, 2024.

This virtual codeathon will take place from February 26 to March 1, 2024 (11 a.m.–5 p.m. ET).

If selected, you will collaborate with a team of 5-10 people to design and build solutions that promote fairness, transparency, and accountability in AI/ML algorithms and models. Priority goes to projects that use NCBI data and tools. But you could also leverage publicly available scientific data within the NCI Cancer Research Data Commons, for example.

Find the full details, including tips on how to apply, on the codeathon website. Please note that participation may be capped depending on capabilities and demand.
