Data Science Funding Opportunity: Administrative Supplement for Research and Capacity Building Efforts Related to Bioethical Issues

Are you interested in the bioethics of cancer data science or data sharing? If so, then apply for this NIH funding opportunity!

This administrative supplement will fund projects to:

  • research bioethical issues,
  • develop or support an evidence base that may inform future policy directions, or
  • develop or augment bioethics research capacity.

NCI is interested in projects that investigate the ethics issues raised in cancer research and care delivery.

Submit your application between November 29, 2024, and January 24, 2025.

For our data science savvy bioethicists, your interests could include, but are not limited to:

  • issues raised by the use of artificial intelligence and machine learning in cancer research or care, or the use of digital health technology.
  • issues raised by social media as data sources or cancer control intervention platforms.
  • privacy, confidentiality, and governance of data and ethical re-use of data, including data originally collected in a broad range of settings.

See the announcement for the full list of issues.
