New Resource on Informed Consent Language for Digital Health Studies

Do your cancer research studies use digital health technologies (wearable devices, sensor technologies, or mobile software applications)? NIH has developed an informed consent guide to help you create informed consent language for your research!

This resource guide will offer you:

  • an introduction to the importance of informed consent surrounding digital health technologies.
  • instructions for how to use the resource.
  • sample language for various stages of your study.

A trans-NIH working group (which includes NCI) created this resource using Request for Information input from research investigators, institutional review board members, study participants, members of the public, professional organizations, and associations.
