Notice of Special Interest Promoting Data Reuse for Health Research

If you have an eligible active grant and are interested in data reuse and secondary data analysis in NIH-funded data repositories (including cancer repositories), explore this NCI-supported Notice of Special Interest.

July 3, 2024 is the first available revision application due date.

Your application must:

  • focus on advancing scientific inquiry and health research through data reuse and secondary data analysis.
  • include data from at least one publicly accessible, NIH-funded, data repository or knowledgebase.
  • explain how you’ll share your findings with NIH and the broader research community. The explanation should include tracking and documenting methods for data reuse.

Read more about application requirements to ensure your work is eligible.

The intended budget for each award is $275,000, and you may use it for up to two years. The number of awards depends on multiple factors, including how many appropriate applications the NIH Office of Data Science Strategy receives.
