Know a Thing or Two About Data Automation and Electronic Health Records? Provide Input!

Do you understand the current capabilities of automated data entry and extraction from Electronic Health Records (EHRs) within your organization? If so, please respond to this Request for Information (RFI) to share your experience with the tools, clinical workflows, and approaches for entering and extracting EHR data in a structured format. The NCI’s Childhood Cancer Data Initiative (CCDI) needs your expertise with EHR data to improve research in childhood cancer.

Review the RFI for full details and how to submit your response. The deadline for submitting responses is February 29, 2024.

Give your insight on:

  • existing capabilities for automated EHR data ingestion, transformation, and harmonization at the point of care. This includes knowledge of existing tools, clinical workflows, platforms, or planned approaches for prospectively entering data into EHRs in a pre-structured format (i.e., flowsheets, Smart Forms) during data collection.
  • your organization’s capabilities for effective EHR data extraction. This includes tools, workflows, modifications, or approaches for systematic and real-time EHR data extraction, or use of commercial tools.
