- allogeneic interleukin-17-producing CD8-positive T cells
A preparation of allogeneic human cytotoxic T lymphocytes that express the pro-inflammatory cytokine interleukin-17 (IL-17; IL17), with potential immunomodulating and anti-tumor activities. Upon ex vivo stimulation, the IL-17-producing CD8-positive T cells (Tc17) convert to interferon-gamma (IFNg; IFN-g)-producing CD8-positive T cells (Tc1). Tc1 cells exert enhanced anti-tumor cytotoxicity. Human Tc17 cells may contribute to a number of human inflammatory and malignant diseases. Check for active clinical trials using this agent.
