NCI Partners with UICC to Support the 2026 UICC Technical Fellowships: Apply Now

The NCI Center for Global Health has partnered with the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) to support the 2026 UICC Technical Fellowships. Early career investigators in global cancer research and cancer control program implementers in in the U.S. and worldwide are encouraged to visit the website and learn more. The 2026 call for applications will be open from April 3 to June 4, 2026.  

This unique short-term training experience supports international placements ranging from two weeks to two months, designed to strengthen technical skills, foster collaboration, and advance cancer research and cancer control efforts.

Examples of fellowship activities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Gaining focused expertise in a specific cancer research area or topic  
  • Strengthening or expanding existing global collaborations  
  • Developing or refining a research proposal  
  • Visiting research laboratories, clinical programs, or implementation sites  
  • Initiating new cancer research or cancer control partnerships  
  • Building knowledge of evidence-based cancer control implementation within host institution settings  
  • Engaging with mentors and research leaders who can support professional development and career advancement
