Camizestrant
Camizestrant is a type of hormone therapy called a selective estrogen receptor degrader (or SERD). It binds to the estrogen receptor, causing it to be destroyed. This stops the growth of cancers that need estrogen to grow.

Use in Cancer
Camizestrant is approved to treat:
- Breast cancer that is hormone receptor (HR) positive and HER2 negative, has an abnormal ESR1 gene, and has spread. It is used with either abemaciclib, palbociclib, or ribociclib succinate in adults.
Camizestrant is approved under FDA’s Accelerated Approval Program. As a condition of approval, confirmatory trial(s) must show that it provides a clinical benefit in these patients.
Camizestrant is also being studied in the treatment of other types of cancer.
