Use in Cancer
Lurbinectedin is approved to treat:
- Small cell lung cancer. It is used in adults with:
- cancer that has spread and that got worse during or after treatment with platinum chemotherapy¹, or
- extensive-stage cancer that did not get worse after the first induction therapy that included carboplatin, etoposide phosphate, and atezolizumab or atezolizumab and hyaluronidase-tqjs. It is used with atezolizumab or atezolizumab and hyaluronidase-tqjs.
¹This use is approved under FDA’s Accelerated Approval Program. As a condition of approval, a confirmatory trial(s) must show that lurbinectedin provides a clinical benefit in these patients.
Lurbinectedin is also being studied in the treatment of other types of cancer.
