Use in Cancer
Pacritinib citrate is approved to treat adults with:
- Myelofibrosis (a bone marrow disease) that is intermediate or high risk with a very low platelet count, including the following types:
- Primary myelofibrosis.
- Post-polycythemia vera myelofibrosis.
- Post-essential thrombocythemia myelofibrosis.
Pacritinib citrate is approved under FDA’s Accelerated Approval Program. As a condition of approval, confirmatory trial(s) must show that it provides a clinical benefit in these patients.
Pacritinib citrate is also being studied in the treatment of other conditions.
