On Monday, September 21, 2020 NCI Center for Global Health Director Satish Gopal, MD, MPH moderated a discussion with CS Pramesh, MBBS, MS, DNB, FRCS, Director, Tata Memorial Hospital, India, and Sharon Kapambwe, MBChB, MPH, Assistant Director, Cancer Control, Ministry of Health, Zambia, about country-level examples of managing disruptions to cancer care, cancer screening, and population-level programs in the COVID-19 pandemic. Participant-generated questions sparked a thought-provoking dialogue on the current challenges faced by countries at any resource level, as well as opportunities and facilitators for adaptation of pandemic-learned best practices that have the potential for further supporting cancer patients and providing long-term health system strengthening benefits.
