Dr. Grace Ault has expertise in cell invasion and migration, epithelial-mesenchymal transition, metabolic adaptation to the microenvironment, and growth factor signaling. She manages a portfolio of grants which includes cell motility, cell adhesion, cell plasticity, tumor cell dormancy, and signaling systems in metastasis

Along with her work in DCB, Dr. Ault is a member of the Trans-NCI Exploring the Horizon Committee, NIH Knowledge Management for Disease Coding, and NIH Interest Groups on Chromatin and Chromosomes, Epigenetics, Metastasis, Transcription Factors, and Tumor Angiogenesis and Invasion.

Background

Prior to her work as a DCB program director, Dr. Ault was a scientific review officer at the National Center for Research Resources (NCRR).  Grace was also part of the Epigenome Roadmap, which became an NIH Common Fund Program, and was chair of the trans-NCI Extramural Advisory Board (EAB) for 2.5 years.

Dr. Ault came to DCB because of the opportunity to work in a scientifically focused division.
