Zhihui Liu, Ph.D.

Division of Cancer Biology (DCB)

Dr. Zhihui Liu manages a portfolio of grants focused on epigenetic and transcriptional dysregulation of cancers. He also has expertise in tumor suppressors and oncogenes. 

Dr. Liu is also interested in cancer cell plasticity and understanding the dynamic role of cellular behavior in malignant transformation and tumor progression.

Background

Before joining DCB, Dr. Liu was a Senior Associate Scientist at NCI investigating mechanisms of tumorigenesis, cancer progression, and therapeutic resistance. He came to DCB to support basic research that he thinks is critical for understanding the fundamental mechanisms of cancer and the development of effective cancer treatments.
