Use in Cancer

Cobimetinib fumarate is approved to be used to treat:

  • Melanoma that cannot be removed by surgery or has spread to other parts of the body. It is used with vemurafenib in patients whose cancer has a certain mutation in the BRAF gene.
  • Histiocytic cancers. It is used alone in adults.

Cobimetinib fumarate is also being studied in the treatment of other types of cancer.
