Sandra San Miguel, M.S., and Dr. Elmer Huerta, Director of the Cancer Preventorium at the Washington Cancer Institute, MedStar Washington Hospital Center for a discussed about colorectal cancer prevention and screening.

On March 7, 2017, Dr. LeeAnn Bailey, Chief of CRCHD's Integrated Networks Branch along with Dr. James Zabora and Mr. Theron Scott of the Center to Reduce Cancer Disparities at Johns Hopkins Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center discussed colorectal cancer prevention and screening.

AACR Annual Meeting 2018

CRCHD Director, Dr. Sanya Springfield, and CRCHD Program Directors presented at the 2018 American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) Annual Meeting in Chicago, Illinois, held April 14–18, 2018.

In addition, CRCHD Program Directors presented at “Meet the Experts” sessions at NCI’s Exhibit Booth #1400.

  • On Sunday, April 15, from 2:00 pm – 2:30 pm, Dr. Tiffany Wallace presented on Funding Opportunities for Cancer Disparities Research.
  • On Monday, April 16, from 9:30 am – 10:00 am, Dr. Nicole McNeil-Ford and Dr. Abigail Soyombo presented on Strategies and Tips for Preparing a Successful NCI Diversity Fellowship or Career Development (K-Award) Application.
