5-HT3 receptor antagonist

Any agent that binds to and blocks serotonin (5-HT) type 3 receptors. This group of agents is used to treat nausea, vomiting, and irritable bowel syndrome. Some of the 5-HT3 antagonists also show antipsychotic efficacy.
