virgin coconut oil mouth rinse

A mouth rinse containing virgin coconut oil (VCO), with potential anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial and antioxidant activities. Upon rinsing with VCO mouth rinse, the polyphenols and medium-chain fatty acids, mostly lauric acid, in the VCO mouth rinse may exert anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial and antioxidant activities. This may prevent inflammation of the mucosal membranes and may prevent or reduce the symptoms and severity of chemotherapy-induced oral mucositis.
