Sharmistha Ghosh-Janjigian, Ph.D.

Division of Cancer Biology (DCB)

Dr. Ghosh-Janjigian has expertise in biomarker research, early detection of cancer, precancer, and early lesion biology. She manages a grant portfolio that focuses primarily on mechanisms and functions of oncogenes. 

 

Research Programs

Dr. Ghosh-Janjigian also helps manage a DCB cooperative agreement program, a Cancer Moonshot initiative, and is involved in an NCI - Cancer Research UK program:

Background 

Prior to joining DCB, Dr. Ghosh-Janjigian served as a Program Director in the NCI Division of Cancer Prevention. She provided leadership to the Pancreatic Cancer Detection Consortium (PCDC) and was involved in the activities of several cooperative agreement programs focused on early detection of cancers.
