fludarabine phosphate

(floo-DAR-uh-been FOS-fayt)
A drug used with other drugs to treat adults with B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia and alone to treat adults with B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia that did not respond to or got worse during treatment with at least one therapy that included an alkylating agent. It is also being studied in the treatment of other types of cancer. Fludarabine phosphate stops cells from making DNA and may kill cancer cells. It is a type of antimetabolite.
