Medicare

(MEH-dih-kayr)
A U.S. federal health insurance program for people aged 65 and older and some people younger than 65 with certain disabilities or conditions. Medicare pays for hospital stays, medical services, and some prescription drugs, but people who receive Medicare must pay part of their health care costs.
