Mozobil

(MOH-zoh-bil)
A drug used with granulocyte colony-stimulating factor before an autologous stem cell transplant in patients with non-Hodgkin lymphoma or multiple myeloma. It is also being studied in the treatment of other types of cancer. Mozobil helps move stem cells from the bone marrow to the blood so they can be collected, stored, and then given back to the patient. Mozobil is a type of hematopoietic stem cell mobilizer. Also called AMD 3100 and plerixafor.
