A drug used to treat certain types of breast cancer and liposarcoma (a type of soft tissue sarcoma) that have already been treated with other anticancer drugs. It is also being studied in the treatment of other types of cancer. E7389 blocks cell growth by stopping cell division and may kill cancer cells. It is a type of antimicrotubule agent.
