NCI-COG Pediatric MATCH Trial Opens
This nationwide precision medicine trial is enrolling children and adolescents with advanced cancers that haven’t responded to standard therapy. Patients whose tumors have certain genetic changes will be treated with drugs that are designed to target those changes.
PSA Test Fact Sheet Updated
NCI’s fact sheet on the prostate-specific antigen (PSA) test has been revised to reflect the latest guidance from the US Preventive Services Task Force.

Resources Added to Center for Cancer Research Website
NCI’s Center for Cancer Research (CCR) recently published several new web resources.
- Visitors to the CCR website will find a new page to search for clinical trials being conducted by NCI scientists at the NIH Clinical Center.
- Additionally, CCR has updated its Annual Research Highlights pages to reflect recent milestones in its research programs.
- CCR has also added pages for the NIH Foregut Team, which focuses on clinical research and care for patients with cancers of the foregut (esophagus, stomach, pancreas, liver, and bile ducts), and the Hinrichs Clinical Research Team, led by Christian Hinrichs, M.D., which is working to improve personalized T-cell immunotherapy.
- CCR is also featuring their participation in the Discovery Channel’s documentary “First in Human,” an inside look at early-phase clinical trials at the NIH Clinical Center.
Learning About Cancer Clinical Trials at the NIH Clinical Center
This recently published resource discusses the role of the NIH Clinical Center in cancer research. Every year, NCI researchers conduct numerous clinical trials at NIH’s research hospital in Bethesda, MD, to improve cancer treatment, screening, and diagnosis.

NCI’s updated page on follow-up medical care after cancer includes information about the importance of seeing health care providers for regular medical checkups once cancer treatment is finished, as well as information regarding follow-up care plans, tips for talking with your doctor, and more.
New PDQ® Financial Toxicity and Cancer Treatment Summary Published
This new PDQ summary includes information for patients about the risk of having financial difficulty during cancer treatment, its effect on cancer patients, and ways to reduce financial distress.
Website for NCI Community Oncology Research Program Gets New Look
NCI’s Division of Cancer Prevention recently updated its website for the NCI Community Oncology Research Program (NCORP). NCORP is an NCI-supported network that brings cancer prevention clinical trials and cancer care delivery research to communities throughout the United States.
